"I liked the cab design better than competitive models," said Kim Langley of Southeast Alabama Timber Harvesting, L.L.C. of Auburn, Alabama commenting about what attracted him to the new Hydro-Ax 670 feller buncher. True, the sleek design is an attraction, but the high performance qualities of the tractor are what sold the machine. "I replaced two machines with the 670," said Langely. Now I'm doing the job with one machine." Langley purchased the new machine from Warrior Tractor & Equipment Company in Montgomery, Alabama.
Tommy Moore of Warrior says the benefit of the new Series 70 line is productivity. "It has a great bunching capability. It will hold a 6 ½ square foot bundle. With that large capacity the operator can make two dumps for a larger skidder drag. It saves time and wear and tear on the machine and the increased maneuverability of the tractor results in less damage to standing trees."
Southeast Alabama Timber Harvesting purchased a 22" Hi-Capacity Hydro-Ax saw attachment so the machine has the ability to cut almost everything. "It is well balanced and operator friendly and is going to be an outstanding machine," said Moore.
W.A. Winston of Pulpwood Producers Co. in Pine Bluff, Arkansas purchased a Hydro-Ax 670 with a Hydro-Ax 22" high capacity saw for clear-cut operations. "Right away we liked the visibility from the cab," said Winston. "The operators can really see what they are doing." Don's Hydraulics of Sheridan, Arkansas sold the machine.
