HYDRO-AX The HYDRO-AX line originated in 1973 as a rubber-tired tractor with brush mower attachment, developed by a small group of innovators in Owatonna, Minnesota. They saw a demand in the emerging timber harvesting industry for a hydrostatic driven tractor with a cutting attachment for timber harvesting. Thus the birth of the HYDRO-AX Feller-Buncher. The HYDRO-AX product line today is the largest in the industry - five models, including a three-wheel tractor, with a variety of HYDRO-AX shear and saw attachments.

and down motion through the operator’s knee’s…resulting
in a firmer ride with less leg fatigue.

The new "Quick Steer"
further increases productivity.

The new, smooth "QUICK
STEER" is virtually effortless and requires only a quarter
turn of the wheel to articulate fully either direction and a half turn
to articulate completely form one side to the other. The steering rate
is metered to provide smooth steering. The adjustable tilt and telescoping
steering wheel adapts to individual operators’ comfort levels for
best ergonomics.

Joystick Control Improvements

An ADJUSTABLE JOYSTICK CONTROL
now allows the joystick to be adjusted fore and aft to best suit the
operator. The pilot-operated joystick controls the lift & tilt functions.
The rocker switch on top controls the attachment-accumulating finger.
The button on the front of the joystick engages the front axle differential
lock (releasing finger pressure disengages this lock).
An INSULATED JOYSTICK COVER protects the operator’s leg from control oil heat. |
